Classification & Compensation
The Human Resources Division of Classification & Compensation develops and maintains the City's classification system and pay plans, develops minimum qualifications for job categories, prepares a variety of technical reports, performs classifications and organizational studies, conducts salary surveys, and oversees compliance with Federal, State, and local laws governing wages and hours of work. The class specifications provide a description of the typical duties associated with a job classification. In addition, they also outline the minimum qualifications and the required knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) for each job class.
