Registration Now Open for Bike To Work Day 2012!

On Friday May 18, 2012 The City of Alexandria's Local Motion program invites you to join over 10,000 area commuters for a celebration of bicycling as a clean, fun and healthy way to get to work. Bike to Work Day is a free event for both new and experienced bicycle commuters throughout the Washington metropolitan region. Those who register and attend one of three pit stops (Old Town/Carlyle/Mark Center) will receive a free Bike to Work Day T-Shirt*, water bottle, food, drinks, and a chance at winning great raffle prizes. (*T-Shirt  and water bottle supplies are limited and only available to registrants).

Metro releases Additional Rush+ Videos and Interactive Web Map

Metro has released three additional videos to help customers understand Rush+ service changes, which begin June 18.  In addition, Metro has upgraded the Rush+ information page (wmata.com/rushplus) to include an interactive Metro map where customers can click on their station to see how changes will affect them.  To see the videos click HERE

Public Meetings for Super NoVa Vision Plan

The Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (DRPT) announced the second set of public meetings for the Super NoVa Transit/Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Vision Plan.
Ultimately, the Super NoVa Transit/TDM Vision Plan will outline a regionally coordinated and comprehensive transit and TDM vision that will support increased mobility and greater transportation choices in the region. Public meetings are scheduled for May 15, 22 & 24 in three locations throughout the study area.  The meeting on the 24th will be in Arlington at the Navy League Building, 2300 Wilson Boulevard.  For more information please click HERE
