Community Criminal Justice Board
The Community Criminal Justice Board will provide for the purchase, development and operation of community programs, services and facilities for use by the courts in diverting offenders from local correctional facility placements; assist community agencies and organizations in establishing and modifying programs and services for offenders based on local needs and resources; monitor and evaluate community programs, services and facilities to determine their impact on local offenders; and develop and amend a community corrections plan for the City based on Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services guidelines and standards. The Community Criminal Justice Board meets quarterly on the first Thursday of the month at 4:00 p.m. Approximately two hours per month are required of Board members.
