Tuberculosis (TB) Clinic Changes

Starting September 16, 2015, the Tuberculosis (TB) Clinic at Alexandria Health Department (AHD) will temporarily reduce some services. An announcement will be made when services are able to resume.

During this time, AHD will not provide TB risk assessment and/or TB testing FOR ADULTS (19 years of age and older). Adult clients who are Alexandria City residents should seek TB assessment and testing services at either retail clinics, urgent care centers, private medical practices and other clinics (see list below). Residents of other jurisdictions should contact their local health department for information about TB assessments and testing.

The following programs will continue during the renovation:

  • Tuberculosis case management
  • Treatment of tuberculosis infection and disease for Alexandria City residents
  • Tuberculosis contact investigations
