- Detox support 24 hours a day for people who are intoxicated or in withdrawal from drugs or alcohol and do not require hospital care
- Methadone treatment for persons addicted to certain narcotics
- Case management to help access and coordinate services

- Confidential testing for HIV, tuberculosis and hepatitis
HOW TO REQUEST DRUG AND ALCOHOL SERVICES
Services are available to residents of the City of Alexandria. To schedule an appointment, call 703-746-3400 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, or from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday. Ask to speak with an intake worker. The intake worker will assist you in scheduling an appointment.
If you need detox services, call 703-746-3636 anytime and ask to speak to a counselor about entering the detox program. If you are actively using drugs or alcohol and are seeking treatment, you may have to detoxify before beginning treatment.
Hearing-impaired persons may use the TTY line at 703-746-3584 24 hours a day.
FOREIGN LANGUAGE AVAILABILITY
Our services are available in a number of foreign languages for persons who do not speak English or who would feel more comfortable receiving services in their native language.
