The Waterfront Plan is grounded in improvements to the public spaces - access and pedestrian infrastructure, marina upgrades and expansion, shoreline treatments, park design and programming, as well as incorporating Art and History within the context of open space all along the waterfront. Toward that end, the City in 2012, initiated the solicitation processes for waterfront park and flood mitigation design, with continued work in these areas planned for 2013. It also established an Art and History Plans Implementation Committee to incorporate art and history recommendations as part of the overall waterfront implementation process.
