CrimeSolvers

IN AN EMERGENCY, CALL 911
HELP STOP CRIME!
Call (703) 746-4258

We can't do it alone...

Local police agencies cannot solve all crimes. They need help from local citizens and the business community working in partnership with them.

CrimeSolvers assists with specific cases of criminal activity. When a crime has been committed and also when the capture of a wanted person is urgent.

Here's How CrimeSolvers Works...

  • A crime is committed somewhere in Alexandria.
  • Local police ask CrimeSolvers to help.
  • CrimeSolvers publicizes the crime through the local media and asks the public for help.
  • The public is asked to call (703) 746-4258 with an anonymous tip concerning the crime.
  • Once a call has been received, the anonymous caller is given an identification number and told to call back. The caller never has to give their name.
  • The police investigate and arrest a suspect. The case goes to trial and the suspect is convicted.
  • If the anonymous tip results in an arrest and indictment, the caller may receive a reward. The amount of the payments are determined by the board of directors. The maximum payment is $1,000. All payments will be made by anonymous individuals representing the CrimeSolvers Board.

Alexandria CrimeSolvers, Inc. was incorporated as a non-profit, tax-exempt organization and has established an effective crime-fighting record.

To date, CrimeSolvers has helped to solve 379 serious crimes. Six murderers, several rapists and other violent criminals have been convicted. A total of $51,000.00 in reward money has been paid to persons giving information.
