Update:  Missing Woman Found

Verdina Cunningham was located alive and well at her residence in Washington DC.

Alexandria Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a 69-year-old woman who has been missing since around 8:00 p.m. Saturday, May 12. The woman suffers from dementia and is in need of daily medications.  She was last seen sitting on the front porch of a residence in the 400 block of E. Clifford Avenue and apparently just walked away.  A thorough overnight search was conducted but officers were unable to locate her.

Verdina Cunningham of the 1300 block of Upshur Street NW, in Washington DC does not have access to a vehicle and should be on foot.  She is described as black, 5 feet tall, 140 pounds with short black hair. She was wearing a black jacket, cream colored shirt, black corduroy pants and black sandals at the time of her disappearance.  She also uses a black walking cane and should have it with her.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Alexandria Police Department at 703-838-4444.
