Spring & Summer 2014 Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities Program Guide Available Online Friday, February 28

For Immediate Release: February 14, 2014

Subscribers to the Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities Program Guide will receive the Spring & Summer 2014 issue by Monday, March 10 and it will be posted online Friday, February 28. Registration for Spring & Summer 2014 classes begins on Wednesday, March 19 for City residents and Friday, March 21 for nonresidents.

Registration is currently open for Spring Break camps taking place April 14-18. Visit alexandriava.gov/Recreation and click the WebTrac link to browse and register for Spring Break Camps.

As part of the City of Alexandria’s Eco-City Initiative, the Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities has reduced the number of printed program guides and no longer automatically mails them to all households. Only individuals who have subscribed will continue to receive the program guide by mail. To subscribe, visit alexandriava.gov/Recreation or call 703.746.4343.

The program guide is produced three times each year: Fall Programs (August); Winter Programs (December); and Spring & Summer Programs (March).

By March 4, printed copies of the Spring & Summer 2014 Program Guide will be available to the public at City Hall, recreation centers, and public libraries located throughout the City. Individuals can also download a free copy online at alexandriava.gov/Recreation beginning Friday, February 28.
