The relaxation of City guidelines for disposal of tree debris on private property expired today, November 13. Debris and brush will now be picked up as part of weekly trash pickup. Items should be no larger than 2 to 3 inches in diameter, 4 feet in length, bundled, and weigh no more than 75 pounds per bundle. Professional tree removal contractors should remove all debris from their worksites. City residents may also drop off debris at the Covanta Energy-from-Waste Facility located at 5301 Eisenhower Avenue, 703.370.7722, Monday through Friday from 6 am to 5 pm, or Saturdays from 6 am to 11 am.
