The Carlyle neighborhood is a mixed-use community within the Eisenhower East area of Alexandria and includes high-rise residential complexes, large floor-plate office buildings, hotels and retail establishments. Just west of historic Old Town, the neighborhood includes a variety of natural and urban open spaces and parks, a balance of jobs and residents, and a retail/entertainment center, serving both a local and regional market.

Carlyle Design Review Board

The Carlyle/Eisenhower East Design Review Board reviews development applications specific to the area for compliance with the 2003 Eisenhower East Small Area Plan and 2006 Eisenhower East Design Guidelines.
