Inclusion on this list should not be considered an endorsement of an individual provider and the City does not guarantee the accuracy of the information. The screening and final selection of a child care provider is a parental responsibility.

Licensed family child care programs in Alexandria care for five to nine children and are regulated by the State of Virginia.

Childcare Assistance and Referral Program
Families participating in the State Subsidy Program have signed on with a 12-month eligibility. During this period, if you find yourself without income you can request that your child care co-payment be lowered.
