For Immediate Release: April 24, 2017
Shining a light on those who have worked to improve the lives of children and youth in Alexandria will be the focus at the Children, Youth and Families Collaborative Commission’s (CYFCC) Champions of Children Awards reception on Wednesday, June 14 at the Vola Lawson Lobby in City Hall.

- Health and Safety
- Academic Success and Career Readiness
- Social Connection, Emotional Security and Cultural Competence
- Families Empowered to Support the Well-being of Children
- Systems and Institutions that are Responsive, Coordinated and Effective in Service to Families
The CYFCC seeks individuals who strive to improve the well-being of children and families through fostering partnerships; demonstrating strategic thinking and leadership; promoting service access or best practices; creatively addressing challenges; and working to implement policy.
