PA Department of Agriculture Warns Consumers to Discard Improperly Pasteurized Chocolate Milk Purchased at Alexandria Farmers' Market
Consumers should immediately discard Moo Mocha brand chocolate milk and/or chocolate mocha milk purchased on Saturday, February 24 at Old Town Farmers’ Market in Alexandria, VA. This milk, sold in plastic half-gallon, quart, and pint containers with an expiration date of March 11, 2018, was not properly pasteurized.
No illnesses have been attributed to consuming the milk. The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture discovered the improper pasteurization during a routine inspection at Coulter Farms, Honey Grove, Juniata County, PA, where the milk was produced. The Alexandria market is the only place the milk was sold.
Anyone who consumed these products and became ill should consult a physician.
