Community Health Assessment (CHA) Process
At Alexandria Health Department (AHD), it is our priority to cultivate the healthiest community possible for all Alexandrians. We know that, above all, “Health Matters.”
Through April 2019, AHD is facilitating the development of a comprehensive Community Health Assessment (CHA). The process represents a grassroots effort – guided by AHD and the CHA Steering Committee – to identify key health issues affecting the many communities within the City of Alexandria and, next, to address these concerns. Our assessment framework - used by communities and local health departments around the country - aims to ensure that the process is community-driven with representation from all voices in Alexandria. This work lays the foundation for giving everyone in the City a chance to live a healthy life.
