The Alexandria Health Department and the City of Alexandria now conduct free targeted COVID-19 testing events twice per week in partnership with Neighborhood Health, and with assistance from AHD's Medical Reserve Corps volunteers. In addition to testing, each participant receives a packet of health and support service information. Neighborhood Health, Alexandria's federally qualified health center, is a provider of primary care and COVID-19 testing for residents with or without insurance. Testing sites are updated on an ongoing basis, as AHD continues to identify future locations and coordinate targeted testing events.
All community testing events are walk-up only (no appointment necessary) and first come, first served. In order to expedite the check-in process, you may pre-register by calling 703.647.6160, but please note that a pre-registration does not allow you to skip the line. Note: we are currently experiencing an extremely high volume of demand. Please expect to wait 2-3 hours. If you have insurance or are seeking testing for travel, please utilize other resources.
