The Alexandria Health Department (AHD) and the City of Alexandria now conduct free targeted COVID-19 testing events throughout each month in partnership with Neighborhood Health, and with assistance from AHD's Medical Reserve Corps volunteers. In addition to testing, each participant receives a packet of health and support service information.
Neighborhood Health, Alexandria's federally qualified health center, is a provider of primary care and COVID-19 testing for residents with or without insurance. Testing sites are updated on an ongoing basis, as AHD continues to identify future locations and coordinate targeted testing events.
See below for updates and information on testing events.
Testing Event Updates
- Community Testing events are intended for people who live and work in the immediate neighborhood of each location, especially people without insurance. Parking is extremely limited. If you have insurance or are seeking testing for travel, please utilize other resources. Events will end at the the stated time or when test kits run out.
All community testing events are walk-up only (no appointment necessary) and first come, first served. In order to expedite the check-in process, you may pre-register, but please note that a pre-registration does not allow you to skip the line.
