Alexandria Black History Museum

This  Museum is currently closed for renovation. See virtual tours of the Museum, the African American Heritage Park and the Contraband and Freedmen's Cemetery


Alexandria History Museum at The Lyceum

201 S. Washington Street

The Museum is open to the public. Visit the first floor exhibits and The Lyceum Lecture Hall, in person or on the virtual tours.



African American Heritage Park

The Alexandria African American Heritage Park is open to the public.


Contrabands and Freedmen Cemetery Memorial

1001 S. Washington Street

The Memorial is open to the public.


Fort Ward Museum & Historic Site

Visit the Fort Ward Museum, Ceremonial Gate and Northwest Bastion. 



Friendship Firehouse Museum

107 S. Alfred Street

The Museum is currently open one Saturday each month.


Gadsby's Tavern Museum

134 N. Royal Street

The Museum is open to the public. Visit the first and second floors on this virtual tour or in person.


Lloyd House

220 N. Washington Street

The Lloyd House is the administrative offices of the Office of Historic Alexandria. It is open by appointment for meetings with staff, for special events, and for rentals.


Stabler-Leadbeater Apothecary Museum

105-107 S. Fairfax Street

The  Museum is open to the public. Visit the first and second floors on the virtual tour or in person.
