Hunting Creek Area Plan

The Hunting Creek Area Plan was adopted by ordinance on October 15, 2005. The Plan addresses the effects of Woodrow Wilson Bridge construction and VDOT's sale of the Hunting Point property in 2005.

Hunting Creek Stakeholders Group

The Hunting Creek Stakeholders Group was established at the request of City Council to provide feedback and input on development plans and affordable housing options for the Hunting Terrace and Hunting Towers projects. A broad range of interests were represented by the stakeholder group membership, and over the course of the year during which the group met, members shared information with the groups they represented in order to ensure residents multiple opportunities to provide input to the Planning Commission and City Council. The Group completed its work and held its last meeting on July 31, 2007.

On December 6, 2007, the Stakeholders Group received a briefing from the Office of Housing on the draft IDI proposal for affordable housing at Hunting Towers. The presentation provided at this briefing is available for downloading from the list of documents below.

Hunting Towers and Hunting Terrace Developments

On October 7, 2008, the Planning Commission recommended denial of a request to rezone the Hunting Terrace site for development of the Hunting Creek Plaza project outlined in the December 6, 2007 meeting materials. The denial was upheld by the City Council on October 18, 2008.
