Alexandria Police Investigate Shots Fired Incidents

For Immediate Release: July 11, 2020

The Alexandria Police Department is investigating two recent incidents involving gunshots in Old Town. 

On July 9, at approximately 6:50 p.m., officers responded to multiple calls about shots fired in the 700 block of N. Columbus Street. Officers located evidence of shots fired, but did not locate any suspects or victims.

On July 11, at approximately 12:44 a.m., officers responded to multiple calls about shots fired in the 800 block of N. Henry Street. Officers took one suspect with a weapon into custody, but did not locate any victims.

The investigation will consider whether any connection may exist between the incidents. Anyone with information about either incident is encouraged to call Detective John Brattelli at 703.746.6699.
