City of Alexandria Celebrates 25th Anniversary of the Chinquapin Park Recreation Center

The City of Alexandria Department of Recreation, Parks & Cultural Activities invites the public to attend a 25th Anniversary Celebration of the Chinquapin Park Recreation Center, 3210 King St., on Saturday, December 4 from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

Celebration activities include:

Noon to 5 p.m.

  • Class Demonstrations
    Aqua Aerobic with Cindy, Silk & Soul Hand Dance, Yoga, Senior Water Exercise, Water Walking Team, and Latin Panamanian Folklore Dancers.
  • Individual & Family Activities
    Preschool Indoor Activities, Racqetball & Wallyball, Rixse Pool Free Swim, New Fitness Room Equipment Orientations, Birthday Cake & Refreshments, Monthly Pass Raffles, Personal Trainers & Wellness Coach Consultations, and Diving for Dollars.

2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

  • History of Chinquapin

2:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

  • Awards Ceremony

3 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

  • Official Welcome by the Honorable Mayor and Members of City Council
