In preparation for re-routing of the Mt. Vernon Trail around Jones Point Park, VDOT will place Variable Message Boards at the northern and southern entrances of the park trail on Monday, December 6.
Currently, the Mount Vernon Trail runs through Jones Point Park. The Mount Vernon Trail will remain open throughout the restoration project expected to be completed in June 2012.
On Wednesday, December 8, the Woodrow Wilson Bridge Project is hosting a Pardon Our Dust meeting at the Lee Center, 1108 Jefferson Street, at 7 p.m. The purpose of the meeting will be to inform the community of to expect when construction begins, construction time frames, and to inform and answer questions regarding planned phased construction efforts.
