Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Activities Celebrates “Community Appreciation Day” at the Charles Houston Recreation Center on Saturday, February 26

The Department of Recreation, Parks & Cultural Activities is hosting a “Community Appreciation Day” on Saturday, February 26, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Charles Houston Recreation Center, located at 901 Wythe St. Admission is free.

Join Department staff for a day of fun, class demonstrations and family activities including:

  • Personal Trainers
  • UK Elite Soccer House of Hoops
  • Zumba/Latin/Jazz Dance
  • Boxercise
  • Kite Making
  • Game Room Tournaments
  • Water Safety and Learn to Swim Classes Preview
  • Yokids.org 
  • Cross Fit Old Town
  • Washington Wizards & Mystics
  • Monthly Fitness Pass Raffles
