Symphony Orchestra of Northern Virginia Evening Chamber Concert Friday, May 12

The Symphony Orchestra of Northern Virginia in collaboration with the Office of the Arts invite you to attend a Friday Evening Chamber Concert with the Northern Virginia Woodwind Quartet on Friday, May, 12 beginning at 7:30 p.m., Durant Arts Center,1605 Cameron St.  Treat yourself to some of the best chamber music the region has to offer, at an affordable price, in a convenient location.

The Northern Virginia Woodwind Quartet will present a concert of familiar and welcoming music for your listening pleasure.   From Elgar to Greig, Mozart to Pachelbel, this wonderful ensemble explores the best of classical chamber music. The program will include the following works:

  • Promenade, M. Mussorgsky 
  • Quartet for Winds, Gary Bachlund
  • In the Hall of the Mountain King, Edvard Grieg
  • Nimrod, Sir Edward Elgar, Arr. David Burndrett
  • Eine Kleine Nachtmusik for Woodwind Quartet, W.A. Mozart Arr. Darren Lloyd 
  • Garden Suite for Wind Quartet, Michel Rondeau
  • Tasty Tango, David Burndrett
  • Pachelbel's Canon for Woodwind Quartet, J. Pachlelbel Arr. K. Agioritis
