On November 21, more than 40 inmates who are involved in educational, sobriety and other programs attended a celebration in honor of Thanksgiving. Inmates Services staff served them a meal of fried chicken, green beans, buttered rolls, and soft drinks, and the attendees had the opportunity to express what they are grateful for. After inmates shared messages of appreciation, they played bingo with a staff member serving as the caller.

All the inmates who attended have been involved in programs, such as GED and ESL classes, reentry preparation, book clubs, and sober living, and this event was an opportunity for staff to acknowledge the inmates’ hard work and for inmates to reflect on their own progress.
