Organized by Inmate Services staff, the February 13 resource fair featured exhibitors offering legal, employment, health, counseling, training, housing, and other services and programs that can benefit returning citizens. More than 50 inmates who are scheduled for release in the coming months were able to meet with exhibitors and explore services that can assist them in making a successful transition.
The Sheriff’s Office thanks the following organizations and agencies for participating in the resource fair: Department of Corrections Probation and Parole District 36, Offender Aid & Restoration, Arm & Arm, Together We Bake, Friends of Guest House, Anthem, Inc., Dominion Resource, Easterseals, Fathers in Touch, Inova Juniper, Neighborhood Health, Virginia Council of Community Services, Virginia Career Works, Alcoholics Anonymous, Spread the Vote, Voter Registration and Restoration of Rights, and the Department of Community and Human Services’ Workforce Development Center, Center for Economic Support, and Public Benefits.
