She discussed ways for inmates to help prepare themselves for healthy and successful relationships. She emphasized the importance of developing a plan of action to achieve goals relating to family, as well as spirituality, health, education and work, after their release. Under her guidance, the inmates participated in an exercise and began to formulate strategies to successfully meet their new commitments.
Ms. Thompson, a former administrator for Family Engagement and Community Resources for the Alexandria City Public Schools, holds an MS in Organizational Development from American University. She currently provides education clients with organizational development through technical assistance, coaching, and professional development.
