City to Host Open House on West Braddock Road Corridor and North Howard Street Access and Safety Improvements

Members of the public are invited to an open house hosted by the City’s Department of Transportation & Environmental Services to learn about potential safety and access improvements proposed for a portion of West Braddock Road and North Howard Street. The proposed improvements will focus on stronger neighborhood connectivity, opportunities for bicycle infrastructure, enhanced crosswalks, and signal timing adjustments, along with safer connections between the Minnie Howard and King Street high school campuses.

The open house will be held in the Forum at the Minnie Howard Campus of Alexandria City High School at 3775 Braddock Road on Thursday, June 4 from 5 to 7 p.m. Drop in at any time to talk to the project team, learn more about the existing conditions and potential changes, and share your thoughts. At 6:00 p.m. there will be a brief presentation. The presentation and other meeting materials will be uploaded on the project website at the conclusion of the open house. A feedback form will be launched at the end of the meeting to solicit feedback from those unable to attend the open house.
