Question: Provide a cost estimate for an update of the 2015 Business Tax Reform Study. (Vice Mayor Bagley)
Response:
The Business Tax Reform report is attached. It was prepared in 2014 by a task force comprised of local business owners and representatives of AEDP, the Chamber of Commerce, and the Budget and Fiscal Affairs Advisory Committee (BFAAC). The task force was constituted by the City Manager and co-staffed by the City Manager’s Office, the Finance Department, and AEDP. There were no consultants used and therefore no monetary cost. The project took approximately 8 months to complete. The cost to have it updated by a consultant is estimated to be approximately $150,000.
