The City of Alexandria’s Department of Recreation, Parks & Cultural Activities (RPCA) is excited to welcome residents and visitors back to outdoor pool season beginning Saturday, May 23. Whether you’re looking to cool off, swim laps, splash with the kids, or spend the day poolside, summer fun is back at Memorial Pool, Warwick Pool, Old Town Pool, and the Potomac Yard Park Interactive Fountain.

Save 15% on Outdoor Pool Passes – Limited Time!

Make the most of summer and save while you do it! Alexandria residents can receive 15% off outdoor pool season passes through May 25. A season pass is the easiest way to enjoy unlimited summer fun all season long.

Even better? Resident teen pool passes (ages 13–17) are only $39 for the entire season!

Pool passes can be purchased:

  • Online at alexandriava.gov/Aquatics
  • In-person at any RPCA recreation center
  • At any outdoor pool beginning May 23

Bonus: The Potomac Yard Park Interactive Fountain is FREE and open daily for splash-filled fun.

Potomac Yard Park Interactive Fountain

Located between the playgrounds, this popular fountain features 36 water jets, interactive spray sequences, and smart sensors that adjust water height based on conditions, plus enhanced UV water treatment for added public safety.

Hours:

  • Memorial Day Weekend–Labor Day Weekend: Daily, 10 a.m.–9 p.m.
  • Labor Day Weekend–Mid-October: Daily, 10 a.m.–8 p.m.

Outdoor Pool Locations & Opening Weekend Hours

Memorial Pool at Charles Houston Recreation Center (901 Wythe St.)
Perfect for families with young children, this smaller pool features a beach entry and therapeutic-friendly amenities. Free parking available onsite.

Opening Weekend Hours:

  • May 23–25: 10 a.m.–4:45 p.m.

Warwick Pool (3301 Landover St.)
Features a six-lane lap pool, accessible ramp, beach entry, and shallow-depth design great for all ages. Playground located nearby.

Opening Weekend Hours:

  • May 23–May 24: 11 a.m.–5:45 p.m.
  • May 25: 10 a.m.–4:45 p.m.

Old Town Pool (1609 Cameron St.)
Enjoy a large lap pool, diving well, and a nearby picnic area, playground, and courts for a full day of fun. Note: the smaller training pool will be closed for the 2026 season.

Opening Weekend Hours:

  • May 23–24: Noon–7:45 p.m.
  • May 25: 10 a.m.–4:45 p.m.
