Who Should Apply to City Academy? 

Anyone interested in public service, getting involved in the City, or learning more about how Alexandria works should apply to City Academy. All applicants must be age 18 or older and residents of the City of Alexandria. The curriculum consists of seven weekly classes held on Thursday evenings from 6-8 p.m. in various locations throughout the city from March 27 through May 8. 

What Will You Learn During City Academy? 

As a participant in the City Academy, you’ll explore what makes Alexandria unique, including how the city stays beautiful, keeps residents safe, and offers opportunities for civic involvement. Plus, you’ll get an insider’s look at how local and state government work with City officials. It’s the perfect way to understand and connect with the heart of Alexandria!
