Response: T&ES staff have not proposed any new CIP projects for the design and construction of protected bike lanes. Design funds would typically come from the Complete Streets budget. There are no protected bike lanes currently planned for implementation in FY 2023, but T&ES staff is developing a five-year work plan for Complete Streets that is currently expected to go to the Transportation Commission later this fiscal year. Additionally, staff has posted an FY 2023 Vision Zero work plan on the Vision Zero page. There is also funding in the CIP for separated, off-street bicycle facilities along North Van Dorn Street, North Beauregard Street, and along Old Cameron Run.
