The total cost of the School Resource Officers program is $1,029,988. Personnel costs are $847,508 which includes the base salary and benefits for each officer. The program includes two Police Officer II’s, one Police Officer III, two Police Office IV’s and One Police Sergeant. Non-personnel costs total $182,480. All costs are included in the FY 2024 proposed budget. Locations served include Francis C. Hammond Middle School, George Washington Middle School, Minnie Howard High School, and Alexandria City High School. There is at least one officer assigned to each location except for Alexandria High School which has two officers. Table A provides total personnel and program costs.
