The City of Alexandria's Children, Youth & Families Collaborative Commission is seeking nominations for the 2024 Champion of Children Award! The submission deadline for nominations is Friday, April 12. The awards reception will be held on Wednesday, June 12 at the Del Pepper Community Resource Center (4850 Mark Center Drive). Visit alexandriava.gov/DCHS for complete details, eligibility and the nomination form.

Award categories are based on the three goals of the Children and Youth Community Plan:

  • Health and Safety
  • Academic Success and Career Readiness
  • Positive Experiences

If you know someone who strives to improve the well-being of children and families through fostering partnerships, demonstrating strategic thinking and leadership, promoting service access or best practices, creatively addressing challenges and/or working to implement policy, nominate them today!  See the flyer for more information.
