There will be a special election on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, which will include contests for State Senate District 39 and House of Delegates District 5. State Senate District 39 encompasses the whole City of Alexandria, while House of Delegates District 5 only includes part of the City. You can find what district you live in on our precinct map or on the Citizen Portal (click the "Check Your Registration" box.) Early voting for this election will begin Saturday, January 31, 2026.
