EPPM Mission:

The mission of EPPM is to provide governance and leadership across the entire project lifecycle, from planning through to operations, in order to ensure all projects within the IT Portfolio and their associated resources are aligned with the objectives of the City of Alexandria.

EPPM Strategy:

The strategy of the EPPM team is to serve Information Technology Services’ business partners by being responsible for the planning, management, and assessment of enterprise IT Projects, complex purchase management, vendor management, budgeting and financial management.

EPPM Goals:

Our goals are: 

1. Provide a solid foundation for ITS and its strategic partners by creating an environment of measurable, disciplined Project Management professionalism. 
2. Identify and select projects that meet the business needs of ITS’ Departmental / Agency partners, and that are in-line with City’s strategic direction and goals. 
3. To effectively and efficiently manage the City’s information and technology assets to improve service delivery and customer support.
4. To deliver projects within budget and reduce costs, where possible, while improving the value of IT services to the City. 

EPPM Responsibilities:

EPPM works with City departments and strategic partners throughout the lifecycle of a project. EPPM supports these partners beginning with idea triage, scope development, prioritization and resource allocation, and throughout project execution.

Special emphasis is placed on using technology where it adds the most value to increase the productivity of the City government, serve the external and internal customers, and deliver services and information to residents at work, at home and in the community.
