The Code Administration Property Maintenance team believes that they have the staffing ability to meet the current demands of the City’s population. Staff have recently hired two vacant positions and are in the process of recruiting for the recently vacated Division Chief position.
The Department of Code Administration is aware of recent concerns raised in the community as it relates to property management and the conditions in certain locations. Staff takes these complaints seriously and are actively investigating and addressing them, in coordination with Office of Housing staff.
Staff does see a potential for increased demand due to the increasing number of dwelling units under construction or nearing completion and are developing projections on what resources may be required in future years.
