Response: $250,000 was included in the FY 2024 Proposed budget to fund contractual services required to maintain and repair City-owned facilities, including the newly acquired 270,000 square foot City-owned building at Mark Center Drive. This includes HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other infrastructure repair and maintenance required for the continued operation and occupation of the City’s facilities that cannot be addressed by the limited number of City staff. Although the building at Mark Center Drive is new to the City and has been renovated for City use, the systems and infrastructure (i.e., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) are original to the 22-year-old building and will require continued maintenance and repair as the systems age.
