Call for Service Reveals Suspected Weapon as a Toy

ALEXANDRIA, Va.— On Thursday, May 11, 2023, Alexandria Police Officers responded to the 300 block of South Reynolds Street for a weapon brandishing. 

APD arrived on the scene and investigated the incident to discover that no laws were broken, the weapon in relation to this incident was a toy that a juvenile was playing with before interacting with the caller.

We do think the caller made the right decision and appreciate the community for being vigilant in staying safe.
