Park and Recreation Commission to Hold a Public Hearing on Proposed Amendment to the Armistead L. Boothe Citywide Parks Improvement Plan

For Immediate Release: June 8, 2023

The Park & Recreation Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, June 15 at 7 p.m. at Patrick Henry Recreation Center (4653 Taney Ave.) to discuss the proposed amendment to the Ben Brenman Park, Armistead L. Boothe Park and Cameron Station Linear Park Citywide Parks Improvement Plan. Following the public hearing, the Park & Recreation Commission will hold its regular monthly meeting.

The proposed amendment will adjust the location of the potential school garden identified in Recommendation 12 of the Citywide Parks Improvement Plan. The proposed amendment responds to the technical site constraints identified during the FY2023 Community Matching Fund award process.

The Park & Recreation Commission will receive public comment on June 15, and take action on the proposed amendment.
