City of Alexandria to Recognize 28 Residents for National Centenarian Day

  • WHAT: The city will celebrate Alexandria residents who have lived a century or longer. Of the 28 to be honored, five 100-year-old residents and their families are expected to attend and two others will be represented by family at the National Centenarian Day Ceremony.
  • WHEN: September 12 at 5 p.m.
  • WHERE: Vola Lawson Lobby of City Hall (301 King St.)
  • WHO: In attendance with the honorees will be members of the Successful Aging Committee, the Department of Community & Human Services (DCHS), City Council and Mayor Justin Wilson.
  • RSVP: Not required.
