Hooff’s Run Drive Death Investigation Update (11:24 p.m.)

Update: June 29, 2024, at 11:24 p.m. 

The alleged shooter in the incident that occurred this afternoon on Hooff’s Run Drive has succumbed to his injury. The Office of the Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.

The Alexandria Police Department asks anyone with information to contact Detective Whelan at 703-746-6228.

Previously released at 8:24 p.m.

Today, at approximately 4:00 p.m., the Alexandria Police Department (APD) responded to a shooting at Onelife Fitness located at 305 Hooff's Run Drive. The shooting involved two adult males, both of whom were transported to area hospitals. The victim has succumbed to his injuries. The alleged shooter is in critical condition. There is no threat to the public concerning this incident.

The Office of the Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.

This remains an active investigation; anyone with information is asked to call the APD non-emergency line at 703-746-4444.

The Alexandria Police Department (APD) is investigating a shooting that occurred this afternoon in the 300 block of Hooff’s Run Drive. Two people have sustained life-threatening injuries. Both have been transported to local hospitals. There is no threat to the public related to this incident. Anyone with information is asked to call the APD non-emergency line at 703-746-4444.
