Coming June 25: New Virtual Waiting Room for OSTP 2025-26 Registration!
We’re excited to kick off the upcoming school year with an improved registration experience for Alexandria families! Due to high demand, the Department of Recreation, Parks, and Cultural Activities (RPCA) is introducing a Virtual Waiting Room to streamline enrollment for the Out of School Time Program (OSTP).
“RPCA has adopted this new system to ensure a positive experience for everyone,” says Laura Durham, Deputy Director of RPCA. “We’re committed to making the OSTP registration process as smooth, fair, and accessible as possible for Alexandria families.”
Registration Opens: Wednesday, June 25 at 9 a.m.
Here’s How the Virtual Waiting Room Works:
Before 9 a.m.: If you visit the site before registration opens, you'll be randomly assigned a place in line when it begins.
After 9 a.m.: Visitors will be placed in the next available spot in the queue.
Once it’s your turn, you’ll be automatically redirected to complete your registration. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to make the process more efficient for everyone.
