The Alexandria Police Department will suspend enforcement of parking restrictions at metered parking spaces and residential permit parking districts on the following dates:

• Wednesday, December 24
• Thursday, December 25
• Thursday, January 1

During these enforcement suspensions, parking meter payments will not be required. Parking meters will remain operational and will continue to accept payment if made.

This suspension applies only to legal parking spaces and does not permit parking in locations where it is normally prohibited. All other parking regulations remain in effect, including:

• Temporary no-parking zones
• Fire lanes
• Crosswalks, loading zones, and other restricted areas

Temporary no-parking signs will be enforced.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to review posted signage and park responsibly while enjoying the holiday season in Alexandria.
