About the WDC

The City of Alexandria Workforce Development Center (WDC) helps residents and businesses connect, grow, and thrive. As Alexandria’s certified One-Stop Career Center, we provide free employment, training, and business support services to ensure every member of our community has access to opportunity, career advancement, and meaningful work.

We proudly serve youth, adults, career changers, job seekers with barriers, veterans, people with disabilities, and local employers who are building their workforce.

Our Mission

To support an inclusive, skilled, and resilient workforce by connecting people to employment, education, training, and supportive services while helping businesses find the talent they need to succeed.

What to Expect When Visiting

When you arrive, you’ll check in at the kiosks and let us know what you’re looking for or if you already have an appointment. A staff member will guide you to the right services, programs, or events.
