Medicare General Enrollment Period
Medicare General Enrollment Period
If you missed your Medicare Initial Enrollment Period, when you became first eligible to Medicare due to age or disability, and you are in need to enroll in Part A and/or Part B, this is your opportunity to do it. You have the General Enrollment Period from January 1 to March 31 to process Part A and/or Part B enrollments.
- Get guidance on how to enroll.
- Make informed Medicare decisions.
- Review coverage and costs.
- If you are planning to get both Part A and Part B for the first time, you may want to see how these two work with supplement insurance, or you may want to sign up for a Medicare Advantage plan instead.
- If you are signing up for Part A or Part B only, you may need a PDP plan, and you will have 2 months to join a plan in your area.
In any case, VICAP can guide in the process and help you understand your options!
