Celebrate Teen Appreciation Day TODAY, March 20 with an evening full of games, music, food, and prizes—all designed to celebrate YOU! Each teen recreation center is bringing its own unique lineup of activities, so grab your friends and join the fun.

Charles Houston Recreation Center
901 Wythe St. | 6–8 p.m.
Get creative and competitive with sip & paint, 5v5 basketball, an Uno No Mercy Tournament, and the always-fun saran wrap ball game.

Patrick Henry Recreation Center
4653 Taney Ave. | 6:30–8:30 p.m.
Enjoy 3v3 basketball, futsal, a glow up studio (hair, nails, temporary tattoos), a TikTok booth, gaming zone, open mic battle, and raffle prizes.

William Ramsay Recreation Center
5650 Sanger Ave. | 7–10:45 p.m.
Don’t miss the game truck, karaoke, wing bar, and open gym basketball.

Leonard “Chick” Armstrong Recreation Center
25 W. Reed Ave. | 4–6 p.m.
Join in on raffles and prizes, a karaoke challenge (boys vs. girls), board game and video game tournaments, a sports picture wall, plus music and food.


Did you know?
The City of Alexandria’s Department of Recreation, Parks & Cultural Activities (RPCA) Teen Centers also offer Teen Late Nights, featuring extended evening programs and activities at each recreation center. It’s another great way to stay active, connect with friends, and have fun in a safe, welcoming space.


RPCA hosts free annual Teen Events filled with fun, connection, and new experiences. Events take place around the same time each year, though dates may vary. Most events are free, with some field trips offered at a low cost.
