Fatal Pedestrian Crash Under Investigation: N. St. Asaph & Montgomery Streets
Alexandria, VA — On April 20, 2026, at approximately 5:26 p.m., Alexandria Police responded to the intersection of North Saint Asaph Street and Montgomery Street for a report of a crash involving a pedestrian.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult female pedestrian suffering from life-threatening injuries. Despite life-saving efforts, the 62-year-old woman was
pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Office of the Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
The driver of a black Chevrolet Suburban, a 46-year-old man, remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
The Alexandria Police Department’s Crash Investigations Unit is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
