Join us for a vibrant afternoon celebrating the cultures, traditions, music, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. Enjoy live music, cultural dance, family activities, Hispanic Heritage trivia, food, local vendors, cultural exhibits, soccer activities, community resources, and more.

Free & open to the community

Here’s What’s Happening: 

  • Live Entertainment:  
    Enjoy music from bilingual DJ and MC IGB Entertainment, a cultural dance performance by Las Costeñitas del Ecuador, and a featured performance by DMV-area Latin pop-rock band Ocho de Bastos.

  • Hispanic Heritage Trivia:  
    Test your knowledge with ¿Verdadero o Falso?, a family-friendly trivia challenge exploring Hispanic and Latino history, culture, music, geography, and traditions.

  • Pupusa Eating Challenge:  
    Cheer on participants in El Gran Reto de la Pupusa, a fun and festive eating challenge celebrating this traditional Salvadoran food.

  • Dance Challenge:  
    Stop by the Baila y Graba zone to follow dance prompts, freestyle, and capture the fun with friends and family.

  • Soccer Activities:  
    Visit the D.C. United activation for interactive soccer activities, giveaways, a prize wheel, and opportunities to win tickets and merchandise.

  • Culture & History:  
    Explore bilingual exhibits, oral histories, and a historic chocolate-making demonstration highlighting Hispanic and Latino history in Alexandria.
     
  • Local Vendors: 
    Shop for local art, handmade goods, cultural products, specialty foods, and more.

  • Community Resources:  
    Connect with City departments, nonprofits, health resources, family services, mentoring opportunities, and other community organizations.
