Sanitary Sewer Relocation at the 600 Block of Montgomery St.
Project Summary
Current Phase: Planning
Sponsor Project Manager: Qais Ayubi, Department of Transportation & Environmental Services
Project Description
This project will relocate a section of combined sewer to Montgomery St between N. Washington and N. St. Asaph Street from its current location underneath 610 Montgomery Street. The section being relocated has deteriorated to the point where rehabilitation work is necessary and the existing combined sewers will be updated to meet the City’s current minimum design standard.
Approximately 360 linear feet of combined sewers will be installed on 600 block of Montogomery St to provide convenience for future maintenance needs, meet the City’s current design standard, and provide enough capacity to support future development in the area.
Project work will also include the removal or abandonment of portions of the existing sewer, the construction of a new sewer alignment, the reconnection of sanitary laterals, the installation of new structures as needed, and the restoration of areas affected by construction.
