Alexandria, Va. - Alexandria Police are investigating the death of a three-month-old infant. On July 19, officers, along with the Alexandria Fire Department, responded to a residence in the 300 block of South Reynolds St. after receiving a call of a baby not breathing.

The baby was transported to the hospital where she died later in the week. Due to the sudden death of the infant, the medical examiner will determine the official cause of death.

There are currently no charges pending in this investigation.
